Ivona Bousheh, APRN, FNP-C
Certified Family Nurse Practitioner
Mrs. Bousheh received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Chamberlain College of Nursing, in Addison, Illinois. Ivona’s practice interests include mental health, family medicine, integrative medicine, and working with the underserved.
As a nurse, she provided compassionate care for the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of medically fragile children in school-based settings and patients undergoing rehabilitation. In her current role as a nurse practitioner, she supported the underserved communities of the north side of Chicago. There, she developed an appreciation of a personalized approach for each patient, acknowledging their struggles and placing particular emphasis on the delicate balance between each individual’s mental health and their physical health needs.
Her Osteopathic Approach
Known for building trusting relationships with patients, she was
able to empower them through education regarding chronic disease conditions and preventative care to reach their health goals. She has become a firm believer of continuity of care and how the long-term relationships found in a primary care setting can facilitate healing with her patients.
Mrs. Bousheh is excited to join the healthcare team at Osteopathic Healing Arts, working alongside Dr. Starkman and Therese Adams, APRN. She is committed to offering individualized care for patients of all ages, including those speaking Bosnia-Croatian-Serbian (BCS), her native language.
